Xpost: Pennsic emergency, need camp space!

Post by Ringlancer »

I am in a bind and I hope someone on the Archive can help....my family and I have no one to camp with at Pennsic.

Well, that's not entirely true. We could camp with our barony, at the bottom of the hill...but that is difficult both on a squire in not the best of shape, a lady with a double stroller and little five year old legs. We'd really like to camp somewhere on the serengeti, or by the merchant area at the top of the hill...its just too difficult for us to camp down the hill or out past the battle fields.

I have a 15x15 pavillion with a porch extension, and we would pre reg with your groupname so you get the benefit of the extra space. We are two adults and three well behaved kids. There is also the remote possibility that my mom(!) might be coming to Pennsic with us...we'll find out probably later on tonight...and she'd be in our pavillion anyway. We don't smoke, and we don't party like I did when I was 20...but we aren't prudes either. We're a helpful bunch and will do our share of camp chores.

We don't let our children turn into spastic urchins, running wild and getting into things...we expect appropriate behavior from them, and usually get it. We also wouldn't expect the camp to babysit our kids...it makes us madder than hell when people just leave their kids unattended, so we certainly won't do it ourselves!

I admit that we have stuff that isn't period...tables and chairs and such....we'd do our best to keep things covered, if you prefer...
