flat wire butted maille.

i have made a small patch of the stuff and from a distance it looks as though its riveted maille. anyone else made this type of mail before? i just can't emphasize how cool it looks.

Yea, i made a small patch once, it does look a lot like rivited. i was going to make some rivited, but my punch didnt wan to work, so i just used my rings for some butted overlaps and all. looked like rivited till you got close enough to realise there werent any rivits

is it a strong as normal wire or stronger/weaker.
