Nope.. I dont fight two-sword. I'd never use a left one, as I plan to use my full gauntlet behind my shield.

Course.. I could just bag the backet hilts entirely, and fight with a regular T-hilt even on my single sword.. but I'm a bit afraid of throwing it at people.

It's a strap that goes across your hand and holds a t hilt onto your gauntlet like glue! I saw it on some website and made one for myself now I wont fight without it. It's amazing. Whoever came up with that is a frickin genius.

Got a link? Now you have me thinking.. I have some 1.5 dia pipe and some 1.25 steel flats lying around.. I'm thinking about bending up a katzbalger style D-ring guard and just going with the gauntlets!

(I hate basket hilts.. the only thing I _like_ about them is that they counterweight the sword nicely.. but a brass doorknob filled with lead will do the same thing..)

Ever use basket hilts, Animal? Im wondering about the "balance' on the sword.. seems to me the T hilt would be a lot lighter.. or do you just end up counter-balancing the hilt a lot more?

I've used all sorts of basket hilts over the years and they suck ass. The thing I like about a non basket hilted sword is the way the balance is just a tad forward. I like it just a little bit tip heavy because it seems that the gauntlet makes up for that. Seems like it swings a little sweeter. I dont weight my pommels at all in fact.
