Kind of surprised that Steve SoFC and Glen K aren't in on this order...or any of the RA North America folks, for that matter...
I am half tempted, but since I don't think I'll be doing much in that time period I will pass this go around. I would think Glen and Jesse would be all up for it, though.
The Viking/Norman era holds very little interest for me.

I spoke to a friend of mine who's involved with Regia North America, and he told me that he'd make people who post to their Yahoogroups list aware of this offer (and this thread). I'd imagine quite a number of those folks who're doing the Saxon or Norman portrayals would jump at this offer.

Hi all, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The tents will be completed and mailed by the middle of next week. As this is the first time the manufacturer has made this style of tent, they had to build a proto type to make sure they had all the dimensions correct. I just called the manufacturer and they are sewing them up right now, so, they will be sent out to you from the factory by next Wednesday there abouts.

Another Update
Hi folks,
Ok, just another update from the manufacturer, due to a power outage, they had no heat for about a week and subsequently production is delayed by two weeks. I will update you as I have more information.

This is just as well.
My final payment will be mailed Friday, and tracking information will be sent, as per usual.
Thanks for your efforts in this endeavor.

Proto Type Geteld For Sale
Hi all, ok, here is what you are going to get in the mail, minus the snow
We field tested this tent last weekend. Set up on dry ground, and it rained and snowed overnight. We were dry and toasty, if not a little cool out side, about 27 F.
This is the prototype, and with a few minor tweeks, to this model, we are on the way.
The prototype is for sale too. We are letting it go for the same price, even though it cost a lot more to have made because of all the detailing the first time out.
Again, 10 oz sungforger, flame, water mildew resistant, braided cotton loops. 10 x 16 footprint. No poles or pegs, but instructions for making them. 499.00 US tax and shipping included.
This one would be great for SCA, but because of a couple of innaccuracies, not that great for living history. So, first come first served on this,

Wil and Taltosh can attest to its quality
These guys can comment on it as they were there and help set it up. Well, Taltosh did, Wil arrived late.

Yup...29 degrees Fahrenheit and 6" of snow on the ground--but it's one hell of a field test...

Yes...I, too am curious when the getelds will ship. Painting and carving the "beast-heads" for the ridge-pole will be one of my winter projects. Stenciling the canvas is pretty high on my list as well--but I'd really love to set the geteld up before the snows fall.
I already have the ash for the uprights and the ridge-pole in my basement, waiting....

Crazy? You don't know the half of it; after a couple cups of coffee, we went out and FOUGHT!
