WTB - SCA Morion / Cabacete

Post by von_landstuhl »

I'm looking for an SCA-legal morion. Most of the ones I've seen have upturned brims and huge combs, but I'm looking for something a little different. A few years back I saw one at Pennsic that had downturned brim and a very small comb (like on a burgonet). I believe this style of helmet may have been called a cabacete. I'd appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Ulrich

Sounds like a cabacet your looking for, what kind of size and how much are you looking to spend?

That would depend on materials, experience, quality, and turn-around time. I'm hoping to find a full-time armorer that has this type of helmet as part of their standard lineup and can do it in stainless.
