mail order leather?

can anyone tell me an expensive source of heavy, armor grade leather mail order? I have a long winter coming up, and I would like to make a trooper's buff coat. I am very cheap, and would like to buy the leather as inexpensivly as possible

I'll second Kevin's recommendation for Brettuns. I ordered two sides from them a few months ago. The owner is great to deal with and will helpd you out when he can.

I've been getting my sides and shoulders from Weaver leather. They do not have an on-line catalog. Go to their site and request a hard copy. Best prices on the leather and hardware
