By the Sword: how are they?

Post by Henry of Bexley »

Alright, I was browsing today... and I saw a great little christmas present for myself! By the Sword's sports armour 3/4 arm harnesses look nice and at $66.00 to the pair they look like a real bargain. So before I commit that measly amount of money I'd like to know- anyone have any experiences with this business? Good or bad, I'd love to hear from ya.

In advance, thanks!

Very, very good experiences! Mike (They're customer service guy) and I have chatted numerous times via email. I've purchased 8 Deepeeka Swords as well as a couple of other random odds and ends from them. They have a good return policy, and their shipments are ALWAYS on time.

The last sword I got (A Deepeeka Viking Hedeby Sword, #AH-3305) was crappy... He offered a full refund and was disappointed with the problems I said it had. I resolved to keep the piece and modify it and deal with the problems myself, and just for my troubles, he's giving my 10% off of my next order! He said he would have even done more, but that's all that his boss would let him! Ha!

Very, very good guy, great, friendly service, good priorities, and the return and shipment policies are great. Prices are almost Ebay low, in many cases, as well.

Cheers!

I bought some goose-fletched arrows with forged swallow-tail points a few years back and the quality and service were excellent, although they were priced a bit high.

Yeah, the archery stuff they used to have was expensive. Their new line, which is primarily made by the guy from bowstick.com, is not as expensive, although they don't directly provide arrows from him through their site. They also have some weird recurves from somewhere I've never heard of... But, not much archery stuff anymore!

I love that site; it's all pretty cheap, and it looks great. It's not all completely authentic though. Watch out for fantasy swords. (Unless that's what you're looking for. :P )
