Product review-Lewis Moore

Post by morristh »

I placed my order with Lewis back in later October with the understanding he couldnt get to it untill after Thanksgiving at the earliest. I recontacted Lewis about the 28th of November to inquire as to when he would be able to start. He was waiting on a few supplies, but figured he would get to is shortly. He sent me a email on the 30th of November to let me know he had started my helm and would provide pics as he made progress. The Helm was shipped via UPS ground on the 3rd of December and I got it on December 6th. Very smooth transaction, easy to work with.

Now I am not a armor expert, but other than a few minor metal flaws (a tiny pit or two , the helm is beautiful. I am very please with the price, the service, in fact the whole experience.

Thanks Lewis!!!!

Ditto. My 14th-century stuff is Cuman, not courtly, or else I'd go to him for all my harness needs.

I just bought a spangenhelm (his first one, ever!) from him on Ebay. It was made largely in part as a project for one of his apprentice armorers. It's a very nice, sturdy, well made piece. For information on it, you can check out my Dark Age page... Lewis is a cool guy! I thank him for the piece! Lined and all, it was only $75!!!

I have two helmets and several other pieces by Lewis. I think his armour is great and he is a true gentleman. I wish I could get some more, but I'll just have wait....

Every piece that I have ever bought from him has been first rate, sturdy (I full impact joust), and beautifully made.

I just received, today, a Klappvisor Bascinet - awesome as usual.

Great person to work with. Answers all questions quickly and thoroughly.

Now I just gotta figure out how to afford the formed greaves that he makes....

I too am a very satisfied customer!!!

I got one of his klappvisor bascinets on Ebay and am truly satisfied with the workmanship. I had intended on getting something quick to tide me over while I make my own, now I can get on with fighting and actually concentrate on learning to make good armour.

In agreement with the thread, this gentleman is am excellent businessman. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner....UNLIKE a canadian rivet supplier who required 3 emails to send a 5 word answer.

anyways this was money well spent.
