heat treating armour

Post by Krag »

I'll be doing HT of armour on the weekend of jan 30th. Anyone wanting something done, or just wanting to watch is welcome to come on out. If you plan on bringing an item, please email or PM me with the specs of the item to ensure it fits in the furnace (I cant do breastplates, shields...etc).

No, I do not want to take ship in/ship out items....show up in person with item, or send it with someone.

I plan to arrive about noon on the 30th. I'll bring the gauntlets disassembled so there will be lots of little pieces but none larger than the back-of-the-hand plate. See you then!

Krag,

Really really cool offer. Makes me wish even more that I lived in TX.

Cheers!
~Kevin

PS- not that I have anything ready to be heat treated yet. Still in the patterning phase of the new harness, but still really really cool!

Can you assemble it with screws? It'll help prevent warping if it's "one piece". You can dissasemble, clean up, then rivet.

That's Sunday right?

Kevin,
It's never too late to become one!

Krag,

Oh how I hate Chicago. Been to TX twice, and I'm sure both me and my horse would love it! My wife hates the cold too, but she's never really been out of the state much- done more travelling in the past year with me than she had before in her whole life-

Someday if I'm lucky. TX, KY or CO are my three choices for states if and when I decide I need to do some job hunting.

Know anyone who needs a Unix Admin in TX? ;-)
