Mantle w/collar to be added to my website

Post by Cat »

Hello everyone,
I will be adding collared mantles to my website under the "mantles" page. Here are some pictures of one that I am working on right now:

This particular one is a 6 point design (has seams), and has a kingsmailled collar (8 in 2 weave - only available in 3/8" ring size) and kingsmailled patches in the collar bone area. The price for one identical to this will be $80. I plan to make the collar and the kingsmailled collar bone area extras that can be added to the basic mantle at $10 each (for galvy). Smaller rings can also be used instead of kingsmaille. The basic mantle in this size (10" at seams) will be $60. A basic mantle in the 8" size will be $40.

Collars and kingsmailled collar bone patches can be added to the round version of mantle as well.

My queue is currently full, but I expect to be opening up a few more slots in a few weeks.

If you have any questions, just let me know!
Thanks,
Cat

EDIT: The kingsmailled collar bone patches actually go all the way around the mantle, not just in the front.

Beautiful work as always, Cat.

I have been looking at getting some maille standards to go on my new arming coat. I'll email you off board on that.

Cat's maille, rocks! I wear a brayete she made for me and it took a direct shot from a lance last Summer. I lost a few links, but what it was protecting was A-OK!

Lloyd,
Thank you very much for your kind words! You know, I'm not a guy but I cringe every time you tell that story. ;) Well, the separated shoulder story actually made me cringe more, but that could be because I actually HAVE a shoulder, wheras I don't have .....anyway...

Feel free to email me for more pics of this, or to discuss various options and particulars.

Thanks again!

Cat every time I see something new you have done,it seems you always out do yourself. I have NEVER seen ANYTHING you have done that I don't like. For someone fairly new to mailleing you are definitely a natural artist at it. If my wife was not doing my maille for me I would absolutely buy from you. Thank you for sharing your ideas and patterns as well as taking time to explain them to us. I hope I can be of help to you sometime.

David,
Thank you very much! You and you wife are very welcome and I would be happy to assist if you need any help.

Lloyd,
I MIGHT need some, but I don't quite know what "coutered" means. I saw your thread about those, and I was actually looking at the arms. I want to put together one of those kits with the corrazina thingie, the bascinet w/klappface, and the full arms and legs. I figured I could probably manage to make the elbows and knees (they would be for display only), but I don't know if I would be able to make the arms and legs, especially with the articulation.

Anyway, if "coutered" means "already articulated", I might be interested.

Thanks!
Cat
