Commission for a Byzantine Helm

Post by Xiotis »

Greetings All,
I am in search of a skilled armourer that is interested in creating a Byzantine Helm for me. I was directed by the well known Egfroth to your great forum. He has a detailed guide on his site for those that require guidance in design and detail. To all: please pass on any leads or contacts, your help is appreciated.

Greetings.

I am willing to consider it, please go ahead and get me any illustrations of what you have in mind, and I'll get you a quote.

1/2 way down the page, the Byzantine helm with the leather scale drape.

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Hi guys. The helmet Xiotis is interested in is the one at http://www.geocities.com/egfroth1/ConcentricHelm.html

Can anyone help him? I don't know if it's to be for SCA or not - I'll let Xiotis answer that one.

It's not really armour if you haven't bled on it.
