Doesn't look like a bad deal to me. I say go for it.

It looks similar in size and design to a Stanley electric shear I bought a while ago. My Stanley handles 12ga mild steel and 14ga stainless pretty well. The only downside is that it weighs 21 lbs.

If you can get it for less then $50 then it is probably a good bet....otherwise I wouldn't cry over losing it.

It looks like a russian built one (we have got the generation after these flooding the market in second hand tools here) They are heavier then you think!

It does not even compare with a decent Metabo or Bosche unit....and I am not sure you will ever find spare parts for it (especially replacement anvils if it stresses and cracks), but what the hell...

For less then 50, you will likely at least make your money back from it...every hour it works after that is a bonus.

Well, if you had time (you don't...) you could find out the weight and amperage, perhaps and compare it with Fein's electric shear chart. I found out that my Fein, is rated for 5g al, 7g mild steel, and 9g SS. This unit, unlike mine, looks small enough to use one handed.
