Garage Sale Continues - Last Gasp
WOO HOO - SOLD PENDING PAYMENT!.[/color]
ICEFALCON ARMOUR (from my other thread):
I have SS Icefalcon Custom Placard (starburst fluting) with splinted Tassets and Ducal grade shoulders from a trade with Duke Alphonse (See Thread HERE) That was used it for one Gulf Wars(2005) a couple demos and FP, if you bought it new it would run you 695.00 plus shipping and fits a person 6 ft tall and 48" around the waist with a thick padded gambeson and could fit up to a 50/52 with a lighter gambeson.
I will let this set (the spaulders are attached) go for for $350 + shipping – a savings of $345!!! (NEARLY HALF!!) off of the regular Ice Falcon price.
You can see these items at Ice Falcon's site:
HERE
&
HERE
You cannot beat this deal!
PM or email with any questions. I use DHL for shipping as I have found the prices to be about half that of UPS, USPS, or Fedex.
I take Paypal (with the 3% added charge to cover their charges), checks, or money orders.
My home computer was recently upgraded and the Flashpath software has disappeared - otherwise I would have already posted pics. As soon as I locate that &$## disc, I will have pics of the items up.

Hey, just wanted to chime in. Lloyd is a great guy to buy from. I got the cheap ugly aluminum gauntlets from his other thread and forgot to write up a response. Here it is:
Prompt response on PM, shipped fast as soon as my check cleared, takes Paypal (which makes it a lot easier to send money) and the gauntlets even came strapped (advertised unstrapped but let me know he would include strap leather). Great deal for the product and would not hesitate to buy any of this stuff. Great job on communication too. Thanks a lot man!

Westerners, we have forgotten our origins. We speak all the diverse languages of the country in turn. Indeed the man who was poor at home attains opulence here; he who had no more than a few deiners, finds himself master of a fourtune.

Crap, I just re-read the post about the Klapvisor and saw that the visor is "fixed". Just what do you mean by that and could it be easily "un-fixed" ?

Clay Moore Klapvisor Helm with Talbot Verveilles
Brand, spanking new. Made from 14ga mild (for LH purposes) and built so that I could joust in it (occularums are 1/4" and the visor is fixed). It has 15 Talbot large verveilles already installed.
A similar helm can be seen at Lewis' site: HERE
Price: $250
Similar question I assume you mean the hinge is moveable, and since you were jousting in it i assume the little gap between the bottom of the visor and the edeges of the helm is minimal
I had to ad "fillers" on one of my Louis helms because it was wide enough to get a shot through.
Send me pics of the spacific helm if ya can.

Pics of Klapvisor now posted.
As for "fixed", I initially was going to have Clay use the Revival hinge that I have - but I could not find it - so he made a hinge. It is not the type that you can open to remove the period faceplate and replace with a "cage" for SCA type combat. However, that being said, you can always remove the hinge and replace with one that will.
I had it made for WMA, LH, and possibly jousting, so I wanted a visor that was going to stay put
As for the Sugarloaf - my digital camera is acting up - but the crack (more like a split) is about 1/2" long 1/16" wide (at its widest). It would be easily fixed by welding a new bead on the inside (I don't have a welder, or the talent for that matter, to do the fix myself).
Hope that helps!

Kabuto is sold pending payment.
I will post the other two "helm" tops I have tonight or tomorrow.
One is two dished halves with attached "roman-like" side plates (that have rivetted brass pieces inscribed with Norse runes - don't ask me, I didn't make it).
One is 3/4's of a spangenhelm (yep, 3 out of 4 spangens already rivetted to attached bands).
Both seem to be SCA legal gauges, but again, I am not in the SCA and I don't have gauge measure.
I also have 2 manifers for jousting. Both have "flared" upper ends and are curved slightly at the wrist. One woud be considered a "demi-manifer" as it does not have a finger plate, but the other does. Both are made out of 14ga mild steel.

Hey Lloyd I might be interested in the manifers and if you decide to break up your armor pieces I am going to need a set of grieves here real soon. Of course (Since you are about the only person my size that I have found on the boards) I would be interested in any 15th Century garb or footwear that you might be getting rid of.
