Looking for Bazubands

Post by Skorri »

Testing the waters to see what is out there. I can go either leather or metal or a combo of both. I have lam body piece and, Viking helm on the way. My leg armour is covered. My rig isn't totally period, more of a period/functional look I guess. My padded gambeson will be short sleeve. Suggestions anyone ?

Thanks in advance, Skorri

Hey, see my post below about steel bazubands for sale.
The artisan formerly known as Willing Pell, then Juan Santell and then Willing Pell again. Hey, Prince could do it, why not me?

Make them yourself!

Weird, this makes twice in a day I've posted the same link to this forum---

Skorri, if you'd like help putting leather ones together, my shop and advice is available. I want to make a new pair myself. The old ones still work, but they don't match and they don't look all that fancy after 8 years.

I'm free this weekend!

bazubands

Post by Laz »

Skorri,

I got my bazubands from Torvaldr. He did custom tooling on them for me and they look great. And he is really good about communication and turn around too.

I'll second the nomination for House of the Wolf. I've been wearing a set Dan's bazubands for a couple of years. They're light, durable & good looking.

Or you might want to look at Armour & Castings. Really good prices.

Bauzabands

Post by Clan O'Neill Guy »

I'd like to add a third recomendation for House of the Wolf. I've had my leather bauzabands for about 2 years and I love them. I'm tough on my armor (leaving pieces in my equipment bag with sweaty padding for a week or more, dropping pieces down the basement steps, etc.). My bauzabands have held up great. When I eventually ruin them, I'll replace them with another pair from House of the Wolf.

well....i just got started on my own set of bazubands this week. i would say i'm about half done, mostly just finish work left to do. but i went with steel, i had thought about leather but they just weren't *shiny* enough for me...hehe. anyways when i get them finished i should get some pics on, and maybe i can pursuade you to use steel. they rock.
