FS: Bascinet- Price reduced-sold

Post by Sir Thorfinn »

Hi,
I am selling friends mild steel bascinet. It has a very small amount of surface rust, and has never been used.
The top is 14ga, the sides are 16.
Here is a picture:
http://www.netcoastmarket.com/SCA/Thorfinn/DSC01008.JPG

I am asking 100.00 for this, and have additional pictures available upon request.
The helm perfectly fits me with 1/2" foam padding, my head size is 23 1/2".

Thanks for looking!

Sir Thorfinn
Edit: reduced the price so it would sell...tired of looking at it....

Second edit: this item is sold pending payment, I will relist the item later if necessary

Thanks Ceddie,
It's an unusual bascinet, but I swear I have seen them like this someplace in a museum book...
I'd love to know if this style has a particular name....

Oh well. I really wish people would post thier intent to purchase out in the open. its kind of a let down (even more so if the seller never maks it sold) to people when they try to buy something and are told its gone. At least at a store, i can see someone taking the last power ranger from the bin. This would be like having an item behind the counter, with a price tag on it, and when asked to purchase it, the clerk says- Sorry, we sold that via our catalog last week.

I'm not faulting anyone by the way, esp sir thorfinn. I dont want him to not sell to his buyer, etc. I just want people to think about how much better it would work if all transactions were posted in the open. Cuz nothing is more of a let down than being told your item isnt avilible due to prior sale.

I always post immediately that an item is sold when I have a buyer.

If it's tentative I will post it being "pending approval"

And I will also offer backs ups if there was interest in a stock item with several buyers who wanted it.

If people can wait, I work it into a run. But let's also remember, it's first come, first served-you snooze-you lose.

Most stuff I have posted here was gone in a few days. And the customers had it in thier hands a few days later. This is why I LOVE stock sales.
Drop me a line if something of mine interested you. infinity_steel@yahoo.com

My apologies to all...
I normally just sell shields from my metal stock on hand...
I'll make the appropriate edits.
Thanks for the advice all...

No need for an apology. Like i said, I dont fault anyone, especially you.

And I've had the problem of two (or more) people wanting the same item. I even had it happen where 2 people said they wanted the item AT the same time- (one in a pm, one on the thread) who should I have chosen? (I chose the public one)
