Gloves for gauntlets link?

I got a pair of these TIG gloves, and they have nice padding, only on the back of the hands.

As an aside, has anyone tried the "Light Sparring Gloves" sold by Revival Clothing? Just how padded are they? Would they work for lining finger guants or would a person need "more"?

I do like the Tillmans. Bought a pair of the kidskin TIG gloves for rapier, and several others in my group have dyed them with no problems, but even the size small is too big for me. For the future reference of anyone browsing this thread, there is a brand of all-leather rose-pruning gauntlets that are sized for women called Rose Pro. Did the gloves lining historical gauntlets have padding on the backs, or is this a modern SCA heavy thing, or both?

I use a pair of the revival "Light Sparring Gloves" in my finger gaunts. They're well padded, but a bit thick in the palm making it somewhat difficult to hold a sword. They are very protective though, and as you can see by the pic I had these gaunts over engineered, cause I don't like getting hit in the hands. This is the only pic I have of these gaunts, but you can see the end of the glove at the back of one of the gaunts.
