So I just wanted to let everyone know that I ordered a custom blade from Thorkil back about a month ago. The product he delivered is absolutly incredible!!! I am still astounded by it. The worksmanship is fantastic and the overall quality is exquisit.
I honestly cant rave enough about how thrilled I am with the product. Even his packaging for shipping was top-notch.
This guy is a total class act and I can't wait to order some more stuff from him soon. Here are a few shots of the seax.

What group do you do live steel with?
I dont know of any that allow that much of a point on a combat blade.
Other than that, its a magnifcent piece to be sure

I asked him for a blade that was fighting quality, and this is what he delivered. If I had to round it off more, then I can do so.
But honestly, I dont know if I could even do that. Its a dream to swing in the hand... Hopefully he will see this thread and post about it.
The bone carved handle is incredible.

I obviously cant speak for your group (as I don't know what it is) but Regia and the Vike tend to go with a 2-3 mm edge and the points need to be somewhere around a nickel in size.
