Still no movement on this, which is killing me... I mean come on.. if you are the frigging mayor of pennsic you ought to believe that people will want to contact you before the actual frigging pennsic.....
Hmmmm... Who is running the fighting at the war this year, east or mid? Maybe we get the marshal in charge to give us the big ok..... That might be the way to go!
If I have any say in this, which I am not sure I do.. sure I started it but it's really al of our tourney, I would like to do less restrictions on the soft kit than previously mentioned. We have to for this one... I think just about any 14th century kit you get from Revival or historic should be good. Honestly I dont know a single person who could do the seriously puimped out high 14th century noble kit.... Just too much bling for most of us.... I want to work with the gentles who were making the rules to see if we can come up with a resonable request for people.... It shouldnt be as hard as we are making it... Perhaps 10 years downt he road, we can make a goal to have as perfectly period a kit as possible...
The armour standards are there to enforce the look factor and the reasonability factor. You wouldnt fight a tourney unarmoured so there fore, any modern armour isnt allowed...
I could see an argument for nicly covered plastic, but I would consider that couirboli and with the rules set I have in mind, not consider it real armour.....
Who is the gentle who set up the golden rope website? I'd like to talk to them if they dont mind.
We'll make this happen. We just have to keep on pushing!
