Master Roland's Vespers Challenge @ Tourney of Ymir Atlantia
In the high middle ages, on the eve of tournament, it was custom for unbelted fighters to hold contest, accepting challenges from all fighters of any rank who would take the field against them to prove their skills martial.
In the tradition of these vesper bouts, Their Royal Majesties, Ragnarr Blackhammer and Anneke Raudhe have charged Master Roland de Mounteney to hold the field Friday night before the Ymir tournament, to spar against all comers and prepare himself to hold vigil through the night to receive counsel from the most noble Order of Chivalry.
All are invited to offer combat and counsel and to enjoy hospitality throughout the evening. The challenges will take place on the tournament field beginning approximately 9 pm, following the final court of Their Excellencies Geoffrey and Maddalena. All who wish to fight are reminded to bring their authorization and membership cards to check in with the list officers who will also sign you in for the tournament the following day.

Please give my regards to Roland. Wish I could be there, but have a prior engagement, with an event my squires are holding that day.
But this is great news, and will let folks up here, who know him, know of this day.
Thanks

The vigil was way cooler and cool. The weather was cold, too.
I have seen people fight with more prowess, and I have seen feats of strength to boggle the mind. This was the most amazing feat of arms I have seen to this date. In freezing temps, Roland took on all comers and in all forms, both armored and rapier. He fought for hours without much leave to rest, and bested His Majesty on the third pass. He even wrestled Sir Christian.
Rather proud to call him Brother, ezpecially after witnessing this feat.

After being his squire brother I am very happy to call him brother knight. It was a great vigil and test of arms. Made me think I got off easy an want to do more. A perfect example of a peer.
As for witnessing the feat- I could have done without seeing Sir Christian wrestling without his shirt
