Over the past seven months I have purchased a lot of armour from a lot of different people. The larger commissions were from Icefalcon, Mad Matt, White Bat Armoury, Knights Armoury, Stonekeep, Catherine's Quest, Valentine Armoury, and Windrose Armoury.
Icefalcon- stainless churlburg legs with center crease greaves.
The legs turned out very well. The articulation is excellent and customer service was very good. Only draw back is they are designed for SCA combat and lack a historical look to a trained eye. They are what I ordered though so 5 out of 5.
Mad Matt- Stainless breast and back with faulds.
Once again they turned out very well, with good service. some sharp edges on some holes but nothing too hard to clean up. The fit is very good but will require some extra polishing to match the rest of the suit. Exactly what I ordered and then some.
White Bat Armoury- 17th century English pot helm and breastplate
All I can say on this one is wow. The helm is way beyond what I was hoping for. The fit is perfect, workmanship excellent. The breastplate was sold as shop junk in a cleaning sale and it will require some work to clean it up But I am still very impressed.
Knights armoury- Stainless gauntlets and saltshaker helm
I ordered a pair of stainless gauntlets. They turned out exactly as I had pictured them. This is my third pair from them. I will buy more in the future. The helm was on there in stock page and it was very nice also. Customer service was grand and the shipping is beyond question.
Stonekeep- helmet, elbow and knee cops
I am trying to put together a decent German 15th century kit on the exceedingly cheep. Stonekeep is where I went for the steel. I picked up one of his earlier helmets and a set of wingless elbows and knees. All are excellently made and the price was very good.
Catherine's Quest- chainmail mantle
This was designed to fit over a hardened leather gorget to go with the German kit. Price, service, quality, all live up to the reputation she deserves.
Valentine Armoury- Tent and belt plaques
I picked these up off his specials page. The items are very nice. There was some trouble with communication which resulted in me loosing a lot of money. Items are good but I will not be doing business with them again.
Windrose Armoury- Padded Jupon
I had seen these at gulf war and knew I had to get one. Excellent quality and service.
There is a lot more armour that I have purchased, but alas I cant remember who from. Everything was what it was sold as and nothing stood out utterly bad.

Glad you're happy. Not too often you see a set of positive reviews for that many armourers. It's really nice to see.

I'm so glad it fits well. To be honest I was sweating that, having always in the past planned on roughly 3/4" of space all the way around for SCA geared padding. Little more wiggle room in sizing with that.
I would very much like to see some pictures of it when you get your liner installed.
Thank you for your kind words.
For some of my own, MacTavish was a great customer. Patient with my irregularities, fast payment, and when I had questions for him, he provided me with speedy replies. He knew what he wanted, but left enough wiggle room and artistic license up to me that I didn't feel restricted with the project. I had a blast working on this for him.
It looked better in my head....
Damnit.
Damnit.
