Raised Norman Helmets

Raised Norman helmets for sale

PRICES REDUCED!

I’m offering for sale two Norman style conical helmets I raised to test out my propane raising forge. One has been ground and polished to a satin finish and the other was left rough from the hammer and then blued/browned. Neither of them has a liner or suspension but a leather lining strip with stitching holes has been riveted to the bottom edge (on the inside).

Both were raised from a 16 gauge (.062â€

Hey Robert!

I still have that Pembrige style great helm I bought from you. It's awesome. I missed buying the cervallier (T-Bob bought it) to go under it.

Steve,

Glad you liked the great helm. I have a slightly modified version in my sketchbooks that I plan on building in spring steel to test my kiln out.

Gadzooks! If I had $450 spare dollars, the rough from the forge hat would be mine, but unfortunately my hobby money is spoken for at the moment. :(

having handled these this past Pennsic, I can vouch for them. the quality, finish, ans subtle shaping on both of these pieces is superb. also superb is the price, hell, if I had some extra cash I'd jump on one of em.

oh and :bump:
