Chainmail update

Post by Duke Icefalcon »

The first third of my chainmail order has hit the shores and is currently sitting in customs. According to the shipping company, I should have it by the weekend.

This first shipment will include much of the aluminum, steel flat riveted and 6mm mail. I will be shipping orders at the beginning of the week (if I actually get it when they said I will) and you will have it all in your hot little hands by next week.

Stainless orders will be in the next shipment, which is supposed to ship some time this month.

There are still a few slots open for preordering mail for this shipment. Drop me a line if you have any questions.

Cheers!

Does this happen to include loose rings and rivets? What are the dimensions for your loose rings?

I want to keep you all in the loop, so here is the latest.

The shipment is still in JFK awaiting release from Customs. I will be following up tomorrow morn and try to expidite this process. I know many of you are waiting patiently for this mail and we are doing eveything we can to get it to you as quickly as possible. I have even paid an extra $1800 in freight to get it airmailed out to me so it did not sit on the water for a few months in a container. I am eating that but it is good business and quantity of mail that is being sold makes it worth the extra few bucks.

I will keep you all posted.

Cheers!

More info. I just got in contact with our supplier and he says that the next shipment will be around 30 May. This will include most of the stainless shirts and the balance of the flat mild steel items.

Assume about 2 weeks between delivery to the States and shipping to your house. This will allow for any issues with customs.

Drop me a line if you have any questions. Thank you all for your patience. I hope this update keeps you all at ease. :)

Are you going to be at one of the events this weekend and if so will you have any unspoken for pieces with you?

I'm still trying to sort out my weekend plans, since the Dr. doesn't want my wrist getting hit for at least another three weeks. I was thinking of hitting War of the Roses or the Quest in NJ if I can talk the wife into dealing with Memorial Day Weekend traffic...

I will be going to Sapphire Joust this weekend in Richmond. I doubt that will help you, Sir Richard but I will be at events almost every weekend before Pennsic.

The first of 3 shipments made it here safe and sound. All of the mail is top quality and I am shipping all of the orders that I have mail for TODAY.

If you want aluminum armor, you can order now for immediate delivery.

I have several pieces of flat riveted steel and 6mm stock that are in and are not spoken for yet. Drop me a line if you want something right away.

The next shipment (#2 of 3) is due to ship at the end of the month. The last shipment is due to ship at the end of next month. All of the present orders should be in by that time. I will make it my mission to get them out to you as soon as they arrive.

Pre-order now if you are interested in anything from these shipments.

Cheers!

If you are in VA Beach you aren't just an hour away. More like 3 with the tunnel traffic....

I enjoy the air conditioning, and unlike some, I don't have enough armpit hair to point my gussets to them...but if you'd like to demonstrate, it might work for back hair as well. ;)

Has customs ever called you just to ask what the hell you want 100 suits of chain mail for? :) I can see someone in customs being interviewed on the news

Reporter: "So what kind of weird things come through here?"

Customs: "Well, last week there was a shipment of inflatable love goats, but get this, I think some guy in Jersey is trying to put together his own medieval army, like braveheart or something."

Andreas, I saw you post about Bloodguard attending the Siege of Acre event next Saturday. Will you be attending personally & merchanting?

If so, bring the 6MM and other voiders as well as the rivetted stainless hauberk please.

Mail arrived this afternoon. Looks great. Links are alternating round and flat (just fine), and the shirt handles about how I expected it to do... will be very nice to be able to wear for CiT...

When will you have pics of the 6mm up? No rush as I will not be able to make a purchase until next month, but interested nonetheless.

I will be there this weekend. I will bring some of the armor I have so far, although I still do not have any voiders. The 6mm and steel voiders should be in the shipment that should launch out to me next week.

See you next weekend!

Cool. Are you bringing the wife & kids? Wanda and Ashley were not planning on attending due to prior plans, but if Tara, Brit & Andre are coming I might be able to talk them into it.

Richard

P.S. How big is the Bloodguard banner and what size pole is it mounted on?

Family is going to the beach this weekend. Our banner is about 3'X9'. We usually mount it on a 12' pole. It is pretty ratty, though, so it will not make it this weekend.

I had a few on mine. The quality was still very good, however. And as small as these rings are, you'd have to go looking for the holes. I am absolutely satisfied with the shirt.
