Post by B. Amos »

A while ago I was putting together my scabbard and I was having a tough time thinking of what to do for my chape. I finaly found somthing that I think is perfect. a standard post cap for a chain link fence.

That is awesome. Very cool. Thanks!
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. -Aristotle

Those look great.

Will they work for pommels too?

For those of us who are metrically impaired, what size would be optimum?

That looks great! Great idea! How did you affix it? Epoxy?

Is there a core in these scabbards for rattan? Or is it just a tube of leather?

To attach the chape, I just sprayed it with a little Supper77, I'm sure any glue will do the trick.

I think alot of people use just a leather tube. But since my leather version of the scabbard was such a huge falure, I went with a plastic core for this one.

I know this sounds crazy but I would polish the thing or paint it gold.
