Looking for Take-Apart wood chests for camp storage
Does anyone make wooden chests that can be taken apart for transport?
I need something period-looking, the size of a large coleman cooler let's say, that can be dissassembled to save room in the car, but used to store clothing at camp. I also need two sets of rings on the sides, so I can mount vertical poles on each side and a bar, so as to hang wet armour or finer garb without damage.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You kill me, Olafr.
Still.
Don't mean I wouldn't get in line, either.
Glad to know I am still loved

Why not just transport the stuff in the chests, then they wouldn't need to be taken apart....?

I would say start with this and add the needed extras.

I made a set and working on a sweatshop project with some friends to make just the large ones.

Olaf is The Man.
I am NOT thinking I am ahead Olaf, often when I go somewhere, I find out people have come and gone three times.
But:
I DO have crazy ideas, some good, most ending up being just stupid ideas, but try getting a pavillion, a bed, a bench, two stools, my armour and weapons, a cooler, camp miscellany and clothing bags inside a 1996 Honda Oddysey....
Here is the issue.
Clothing is compressible, a solid chest is not. I can pack my garb in a bag that can fit in the foot seccion of the car with no damage to garb or car, and the flat pieces of the chest can fit anywhere on top, whereas a solid chest would take about 20% of my packing space....
It needs not be fancy, just have a general look, and be sturdy.
With rings on the side, I can mount poles and and bar and hang stuff, so that the garb does not look like crap in two days of camping from being rummaged through in a bag. heck, with a bar I can even put shelves in besides hangers, and save tent space.

Syr Justus, the dimensions on the smaller one in the link from Greydragon would suffice although I'd love the larger one if I can afford it.....
Does this help?
Thanks!!!

I've been wanting to make one to play with.
