Question: Chainmaile and one of Zweihammer helms

I have this.

The question is how do people attach the chainmaile in the front? I do not wish to drill a series of holes along the faceplate to attach the maile. So how have others done it?

For mine I attached at three points a folded half hinge that allowed me to put a stiff wire inside the face plate. The chain hangs from this. The points are;
the lowest rivet in the cross (chin area)
the attachment points for the support that links the neck guard and the face plate (near the end of the jaw bone on each side)
