(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

I still can't seem to get the forum to let me post pictures directly. Whatever size I think I've got, it says they're too big.
Please bear with the bother and take a look at the links

Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience

For which (SCA combat usefulness or Historical Accuracy)? IIRC, period bazubands didn't cover the elbow to the extent needed for SCA. I believe Cat made a pair that added decorative bits to the edges for the needed protection.
That being said, all of the above are friggin sweet, and I am going to start a pair soon.

Westerners, we have forgotten our origins. We speak all the diverse languages of the country in turn. Indeed the man who was poor at home attains opulence here; he who had no more than a few deiners, finds himself master of a fourtune.

All of the House of the Wolf bazubands are SCA list legal. I have never had 1 marshal question them.

Not trying to imply that any design here isn't SCA legal. Just that all of them shown have far more coverage than historical bazubands. Those simply covered the back point of the elbow when straight, without covering the sides of the arm.

If you were a poor Indian with no weapons, and a bunch of conquistadors came up to you and asked where the gold was, I don't think it would be a good idea to say, "I swallowed it. So sue me."
