Yes, Duke Uther is now Crown Prince of the West. He was fighting for Countess Kara.

That was a very well fought finals. HG Uther is terrifying and awesome to behold. I especially liked the armshot combo.

I gotta admit, I was pretty amazed at the shear ferocity of Brand's fighting as well. I've seen him from afar from years, and he's always been an excellent fighter, but the way he went after Uther was impressive to me.

The semi-final round was also cool to watch, with Sir Brand fighting Sir Brynne. For those who don't know them, Brand & Brynne are brother and sister.

Anybody know if there are any still photo galleries from the event? Would probably make for good SCA Promo pics!

I haven't seen any yet. I was too hot to dig out my camera, so I didn't shoot any photos after I got out of armour. Esmeralda of the Lakes was there, so she may have taken some. She usually gets them up within a week or two of the events, so we shold know soon if she did.

The address change to:
http://picasaweb.google.com/spartan.mom/JuneCrown2008

Pics were taken by our father and published by our web-savvy mother. First set of pics are my fight with Sir Leon von Schrecken. The second set of pics were of the finals between Uther and Brand. (and then pics of the aftermath of crown)

I'd keep an eye on Esmeralda of the Lakes website (http://www.esmeraldaofthelakes.com/) as she'll post pics sometime in the near future when she has the time.
