Looking for Sallet patterns

Post by Draven »

I'm trying to find some sallet patterns. I found one in the patterns but I'm trying to find one with a fancier tail/back any ideas?

define "fancier"

some sallets came back in a pretty long tail.
some short.
some had articulated tails.
some solid.

Are you going to be making this out of leather? Leather sallets... don't tend to keep the same shape as their metal counterparts...

I like the looks of the articulated tail, I want it to go down a pit low to protect the back of my neck well, but not too long that it hinders movement. No, I'm actually going to be making it out of metal. I need a better helm that what I have, it will be open faced. Making this step may cause me to be making metal products for next war season. I'm thinking about offering metal splints for my vambraces and greaves soon.
