Vinhold (West) fight practice? [SCA]

Post by Saburou »

Anyone in the Napa Valley/ North Bay area (Vinhold, West Kingdom) who knows about local fight practices?

I'll be in the area this week and I'd love to visit and fight.

Saburou,

The closest practices to Vinhold are the following:

The listing for Vinhold says to contact the seneschal about fighting practices. That's Michel de Laraque (Michael Harvey) 707-320-9305 , larak@locus-one.com.

The practice at the shire of Teufelberg is the one I attend. That's on Wednesday nights from 7-10pm at 524 Shelly Dr., Pleasant Hill, CA 94590. Contact is Brion of Bellatrix (Brion Porter) 925-323-2177 -- brion@bellatrix.org.

The practice for the Province of the Mists is on Thursdays from 7-10pm at the Rockridge BART station in Berkeley, CA. Contact is Janos Michaly (David Orphal) 510-215-2194 -- orphal@yahoo.com.

Regards,
Paul

Vinhold's practice is Sunday @ 11:00 at Fuller park on Jefferson st/
Champclair has a practice in Vacaville at Gum Tree Ranch Stables on Monday evening usually starting around 7:30.
And the two practices that Paul mentioned are the closest.

If you would like to go to the monday practice in Vacaville, pm me and I can let you know how many we will have. Recently, if only two plan on showing, we end up canceling, our weekly numbers have been fluctuating lately. I can stir up some action if you are interested though.

Not to be entirely off topic, but is Master Robert (the siege guy) still in Vinhold and is he still active?

Morejello,

Master Robert of Vinhold hasn't been in Vinhold for over fifteen years. He lives in Danegeld Tor which is just northeast of Sacramento (a couple hours from Vinhold). I can't remember the last time I saw him at an event-doing siege stuff or anything else. It would be nice to see him out again.

Alvar has that correct on all counts. Although hauling all of his siege creations of the years has been interesting. Still miss seeing him though.
