That is a beautiful helm. Could you give an estimate for shipping to the US, zip code 37398?

I really like that and would buy it myself if I didn't already have too many helmets lying around..

Will you have more helms like this in the future? That is almost exactly what I am looking for, it's just not in the budget right now. :?

Can it be made with a grill for SCA combat instead of the full face?

shipping cost to US is 20 Euro or 30 USD.

I can do a similar helmet under a size with a bar grill.

Why in god's name would you want to do that to a Greathelm?

That's one sexy 'loaf. Pity I already have one, or else I'd snap that sucker up in a heartbeat.

Two reasons. I like to be able to breath on the field. I like being able to see on the field. I cant count how many times I just didnt raise my shield in practice with a loaner helm because I just didnt have the peripheral vision to catch it. /shrug

Ideally I'd like interchangeable face plates: one grill and one solid. Maybe one day I'll be good enough to not need a bar grill.

Then wear a Bascinet. Putting bargrills on Greathelms makes the Baby Jesus Cry. :(

"Putting bargrills on Greathelms makes the Baby Jesus Cry."

+10

Seriously, go with a helm that WOULD have had an open face, rather than making something so non-historical.
ESPECIALLY if you're custom ordering it, because you WILL regret it later!

The fight, if your good, should last no longer than a few breaths anyways. :)

Imagine how good you would be if you could kick everyone's ass without seeing or breathing. 8)

In all seriousness, this die hard viking persona has been looking at sugar loafs all too much lately...its starting to make me feel dirty. Pretty soon my wife will ask me to "show on the dolly where the 14th CM touched me to make me change personas."

I was thinking more along the lines of melees. I wish those could be won in just a few breaths. But i did think of another one. Water. I dont like taking my helmet off every time i want water. Or better yet, how bout a visored sugarloaf.

The eyeslot width is 2 cm. An additional visibility is given by openings on a visor. Breathing in a helmet is not laboured...

I have a local guy looking for a helm like this. I just sent him the link asking if he wants it. If he does, consider it sold.
