I am (still) waiting for the (multiply-promised) mail from Vikmar (our hosting company) telling me what the alleged violation was/is for the Archive before taking any money for advertisements, links, or sales commissions.
Matt has said that the GoldPlan (which is what we have) allows for commercial ventures (though it doesn't allow re-selling of web space). I would like to get their word on it.
However, I've been waiting for this letter, as the top paragraph implies, for quite some time now. I've harangued them for it, or for info, and been told that (1) the certified letter was returned as undeliverable, (2) the second try at the certified letter just plain failed (must be your address JT), and (3) that they were sending a receipt-request letter to me. I have had them verify my address... they have it right.
Very soon, I am going to tell them to either chuck the whole claim, or to tell me "unofficially" by e-mail (something they've refused to do). At that point, I will make a decision on how all the advertising will (continue to) work.
