Byzantium Varangians

Post by Kari »

If anyone has pictures of completed Kits for Byzantium Varangians, would you please post them here? I am interested in seeing what has been done.

Would a center boss have been used on the tear drop kites, would they be four square side strapped like Norman Kites, or both?

Would Norse art styles still be adorned on Shields?

Would the Lammilar be attached to the adjoining piece, or laced/riveted to a backing?

Are their design patterns for the shoulder, and skirts to Byzantium Lammilar?

Are there patters for the splinted Grieves, and Bracers?

Would Mail have been worn with Lammilar by Heavy infantry or just Heavy Cavalry?

Would helm styles just be Spangen in the 10th century? Would the Phrygian Spangen have come into style before the 12th century?

Thanks

Kari
