Mild steel
12g bowl from Cet
14g remainder
strap and buckle closing
Hinge made by me. As you can see it's a little tight still. I kinda like that. It'll hold the visor up. Wish I could say I did it on purpose but... :P
Measures about 9 5/8" front to back
Measures about 7 1/2" side to side in the narrows, and opens up to about 8" inside the bowl.
it's about 28 3/8" around on the inside.

Ain't perfect... but I ain't ashamed of it.

Would like $250.00 and that'll include shipping to CONUS.

*ninja hypnosis* Send me moneys!

Thanks for looking.

Give or take about 7/16" x 2 5/8"

The holes drilled on the bottom of the eyes are 1/4"

And this one's sold.

Hospitaller@Acre,

Bascinets with grills. Hmmm... yeah probably eventualy I'll make some more. Will it be soon? probably not. There's been a somewhat subtle trend in my recent works... in that none of them have had grills... because I'm sick of making them. :P The last few I've done with bar work it's very much been spending a day or 2 making a nice hat, get it to where it just needs a grill. Spend 3 days puttering on the grill and mostly just grumping about making a grill. Spend one day finishing the grill.

I have an idea for some clamps that will really help with the grill making process, and I need to make them... and then I need to save my pennies and get wired for, and get a tig box, practice like mad with it, and I'm hoping that it will cut down on the clean up work, which is at least half of what I hate about making them.
It looked better in my head....

Ain't nothing to be ashamed of w/ that helm. It's darn purtty.

I'm glad I was late in seeing this one. (as in, I'm glad I was late seeing this because I have no spending money right now and hate temptations like this.)

Adamo, I hope you grabbed this. Would make entering the COTT much easier.

Hey Matt nice helm. I like the way the curve at the bottom of the visor looks when it's going the opposite direction mine do.

BTW Mine go for $350 and they sell like hotcakes. You could have got more easily.

It's not about how much it takes you to make it it's about how much people are willing to pay.

If people aren't willing to pay enough for something don't make them.
