FS: Shamrock Armoury Klapvisor SOLD SOLD SOLD

Post by cbx mike »

Hi All,

Well the title says it all. I have for sale a Shamrock Armoury Klapvisor, that i ordered about a month ago. it was the one from thier instock page. it arrived today and well I can not even get it on my head. here is a link to the pictures.

http://www.shamrockarmoury.com/Klapvisor.html

Jackie did some great work to this helm such as installing 16 brass vervelles and drilling for a sewn in liner. i do not have a digital camera so i
can not get any pictures right now. maybe Jackie will chime in to say how nice this helm is. you will also get a Steel Mastery historical liner with this helm. you will have to install it. So if interested let me know. i may be able to email some pictures if i can get my friend to take them.Asking $400.00 shipped i will take paypal(plus 3%) & USPS money order

yours truely

Who runs Shamrock?

That looks like what Jackie in Tn was doing before i left, but a little cleaner. Kinda looks like Caleb Hogg or Sir Brian had some influence on a couple pieces.

If it's Jackie he's getting good.

If you want the helm I will make a new visor on a trade for the old one for it! You could have Mike send it to me for the new fit! But you would have to cover shipping from here.

I would like to help Mike out on this it really sucks that it want fit him

Let me know what you think

the more i look i look at it, i am not a fan of the lack of actual point on the skull (prefer and a fairly sharp point), sorry i have to back out

Though i absolutly love the shaping on the visor though and i see very few that i like.

Could you get better sizing info? I have a 23 inch head, but I don't want to be swimming in it

What guage is the helm, and is it stainless or mild? If it is stainless I am very interested.

I have a 23 inch head and it would fit me so sweaty by SCA standers

It is 14 gauge Mild

Hope that helps

my condolences on your loss, however you now have some enameled steel for brigandines

Is the klappvisor permanently riveted in place, or is it removable? What type of steel, and what gauge?

Oh, and what is the brow measurement of the helm? What size head do you think this WOULD fit?

The visor is removable. as to the rest of your questions they have all been pretty much answered in other posts in this thread.
