WTB 14th century clothes

I have about extinguished my abilities with a sewing machine (I made hoes, and I will be tackling braise in a couple of weeks). And I will still need to cover the rest of my upper body.

So who has clothes they are trying to get rid of.

I am trying to go for a mid 14th century kit and pretty much anything would be really appreciated at this point.

Also I need a porpoint. I received my new armor a couple of weeks ago and I don't want to do the standard tie it to a belt. I have read that porpoints are much more comfortable and they carry your armor much better than a belt.

I have around a 46" chest and a 38" waist. I am about 6' tall. I can get better measurements if anyone needs them.

I have a wool HE bocksten tunic that I was thinking about getting rid of, in dark blue. I'm not sure that it would fit you though, it is supposed to go up to a 44" chest. I did have a slight issue with the fit at the wrists, but I have a wide hand, so that may not apply to you. I only wore it to one event. PM me if you are interested.

I have a new pair of these in wool. They fit a size 38 waist and I think a 34 leg. I wore just over the ankle boots with them and they worked great. I wear a 32 leg. They have been worn once before I went earlier period. Selling them for $35.00 plus shipping.

Out of curiosity, what was the issue with the wrists?

They were just barely big enough. If I was going to keep it, I would most likely open them up a little.

I had the same problem with the linen bocksten tunics I have. I wound-up ripping about 1"-1.5" out of the seam right at the cuff and whip stitching it. (The tunics are one-size-fits-most. And I'm 6'2" 220 lbs.) Otherwise they fit great in the body and length.

I'd be interested in your Bocksten, Marcus, if Bjorn passes on it.

I had a couple of guys at Pennsic tell me the same thing, so I've adjusted the pattern to make the hand opening bigger.

Please don't hesitate to email me directly if you run into a situation like this, as I can't fix a problem if I don't know one exists. I made the Bocksten a bit longer because of customer feedback, and I could have made the hand opening larger at the same time.

I didn't consider it a big deal. The hand stitching just makes the garmet a bit more realistic to me. I think the cut is great and I like how it follows the arm tapering to the wrist.
You don't notice it on the earlier period gowns because they button at the cuff and you still get that nice taper to the wrist.

I have a G33/34 with hand finished neck, arms, and hem with a button neck (cloth buttons) out of a light blue wool for $175

I will try to remember to take a photo tonight.

My arm is a one peice and the button neck is an adaption from another gown fragment. It is a 3 inch slit with 4 buttons. The button holes are hand stitched with linen thread.
