Wow.. I thought I had seen the last of free range Grettir Gauntlets!

These things are legendary round these parts, folks. I don't think, for your money, you can get a better pair of gauntlets.

I wear Gruber finger gauntlets to fancy dress up scraps, because I need my middle finger to be seperate. I wear a pair of Grettr gauntlets for everything else.

I have worn my Grettr gauntlets for approxamately 1000 days of fighting, over a ten year period of time. I am a moron and frequently block on my hands. As those who know me can attest, I am also wont to put my hands in harm's way. In these gauntlets my hands are invulnerable.

$550.00
I am the SCA's middle finger.

Damn it all to hell. I've wanted these gauntlets for a couple years, but I just don't have the cash to put up a bid.

I'll start pooling my money and hope there's a next time.

[quote="Gaston de Vieuxchamps"]What are they made of?

G[/quote I used to make them out of a cold raiseble 400 series stainless, what, with the advent of fire and all, I now make them out of good old 300 series stainless.

If I had a job, I would bet on these. :) Granted going to an interview in a hour. :p

But yeah, have seen a few of these around, and they are terrific.

Gettir gaunts are the BEST gaunts I have EVER used.

Well well, thats a name I never thought I'd hear again.

Perhaps when you are finished with these gauntlets Grettir you might finally get around to sending me the money you still owe me for the helm I ordered from you back in Pennsic 22.

After returning it to you because it was so crooked that it would not pass armour inspection and being promised a refund you disapeared with faulty helm and money.

Perhaps one day you will make good on that.

Don't worry, I am talking about at least ten Pennsics ago! I have been kicking myself for that long. I have a pair of heavily modified Mandrake gaunts that work great but I still wish I had bought them. If these were mild I would be all over them. Stainless is great but doesn't blue all that well!

I was thinking of bidding, but now I can't in good conscience now because of you. I hope you win.

That was my assumption as well. I hope they do fit you well, they should be the last pair of gauntlets you'll ever need to buy. I just want to thank my friend who was watching this auction for me with my username while I was at work on double, I really do appreciate the time he took from his day for my whims and hobby. Thanks Bill, I really do appreciate your time.
