Three Kings 2008 Photos (a dozen or so)

Post by spearweasel »

These are my photos from Three Kings 2008. Sadly, I was the only samurai there - I am not sure if I made an impression or left a dent, but I tried to make my deaths as lurid and glorious as possible.

They were taken on a disposable camera (my digital is kaput), by the son of a BG War Company member who was not fighting at this event but kindly volunteered to take these pictures. There are other photos, but they were mostly taken from a distance (limitations of a spectator), so I didn't bother posting those. These are the most detailed ones I have available.

If you were a poor Indian with no weapons, and a bunch of conquistadors came up to you and asked where the gold was, I don't think it would be a good idea to say, "I swallowed it. So sue me."

Greetings!

I was one of the marshals in the woods battle following you guys around. i thought your kit and and ability both were grand.

And the War Company was very impressive as a unit.

Those people who trained with sticks were highly aware that they were practicing to use flat swords. Throwing intentionally flat blows is NOT swordsmanship....it is gay.

Thanks! I'll pass it along to my comrades.

Nice rig!

And it was great to see (I think) my old buddy Terefan Greydragon on the equestrian shot...

Heh, caught a pic of ole Ironwyrm in one of those :). So who won? I haven't actively played in going on two years now but it's still fun to see what the old gang is up to. I hear Almar's back fighting again and stepped up to be Bela.

Yeah, that's Terafan. He fought along side the Bryn Gwlad War Company. The Mongolians had a good turn out (largely the Company of St. Mark) and they carried the day. It was good fighting all around, a great site, and great weather.

Dear Sir,

Next time you see Master T - smack him upside the head and tell him it's from Aethstan and Alexander and please be nice enough to remind him that he is to return to our glorious Kingdom immediately if not sooner. I require him to take over his old Shire and restore it to it's former glory.

Respectfully,

I think I'll be seeing Terafan in December. I'd like him to move back to our barony, though he's welcome to move to yours if he takes me and my family with him. I can certainly let him know he's sorely missed.
