Cas/Hanwei SCA combat

Post by Ned Chaney »

I'm seriously looking at a Cas Hanwei Bascinet from Stephen, and was wondering if any of you have any experience with how they hold up to SCA combat??

I wouldn't buy anything from Hanwei. Chinese made, man. With equivalent kwalitee control.

Don't know about their armor, but their rapiers and blades are considered to be decent quality in the lower end of the price range.

I've upgraded to custom Darkwood hilts, but still haven't felt a need to leave the Hanwei blades behind.

I absolutely love their practical longsword and arming sword. Their rapiers, less so.
