I haven't been traveling to Calontir enough lately to make odds...

I'll talk with Joe though, and maybe we can make odds together :)

Interesting that Anton and Isabeau aren't entering...

So soon after stepping down? Was Anton a frequent entrant in Ansteorran crowns?

8-1 Duke Martino Michel Veneri- The problem with Duke Martino is that youhave to predict how much he is going to "want it" on the day of the tournament. It's clear that he knows what he is doing, so I am going to place him in the first spot.

10-1 Duke Lorell of Shrewsbury- Lorell is another tough case. How do you put odds against him in a Calontir Crown? Well here is the deal, it is between him and Fernando and Martino in this Crown. It is going to be a good show down.

12-1 Conde Fernando Rodriguez de Falcon- As I stated above, it is going to be an interesting showdown.

18-1 Baron Hirsch Ross Eichman- I think Hirsch will have a good day, but with those top three contenders in Crown, it will be too deep for him.

26-1 Master Jack Banyard- I like Master Jack's name. For some reason, it always reminds me of that pirate dude in those Caribbean movies. So I think that is cool, and I always give him good odds.

31-1 Baron Gawain ap Tristam

36-1 Sir Erich Hlodowechssun

39-1 Sir Colin MacLachlan

42-1 Sir Duncan Bruce of Logan-

46-1 Baron Alric the Tall- must be tall. Why else would that be in his name? Hopefully he has read the recent listing on here about how to fight against tall people and will use it for some pointers. Then he could do well.

48-1 Duchess Ariel of Glastonbury Tor- Although she is a really great fighter, I am unsure of her ability to close in the final rounds.

Between 50-1 and 100-1

His Lordship Aron Helmschmidt
His Lordship Cai Dubhghlas
His Lordship Richard DeBleys
Lord Sean of the Chipendales
His Lordship Albrecht von Salzburg

100-1 and up

His Lordship Alric Upplendingr
His Lordship Rauðr Ottarsson
Lord Bataciqan-nu Ko'un Ashir
Lady Kalisa Martel
Lord Valdrikr Inn Danski

Enjoy!

I'd put Sir Colin MacLachlan just below Baron(Sir) Hirsch, who has placed 2nd repeatedly in the last few years. I might even put all three in the same level with Conde Fernando.

Baron(Sir) Gawain I'd probably with Sir Logan.

Other than that... ;)

HG Martino has won the day for HG Ariel!

He fought against Lord Bataciqan-nu Ko'un Ashir for the victory.

Well done all!

Ditto.

I would have liked to see her win it though.

His Highness Martino fought a VERY good day. The only person to land a blow on him was me! ;-) His majesty Luther let me fight some of the bye fights and I got to fight His Highness Martino in thee 1st round. We both legged each other and then He managed to tag me soundly in the head. Not one blow was landed upon Him for the rest of the tourney. One very glancing blow off of his helm and another the barely touched him as it slid down his sheild and grazed his unarmoured ribs.

Respectfully,

Sir Nigel

You know how curious the media is;

How about the Lord who fought him in the finals? Did he have a breakthrough day, or had a lot of folks seen him headed for it?

Here is some video from crown.
The semi finals were Sir Hirsh and Ashir, Duke Martino and me(sean of the Chipendales)

Finals were Ashir and Martino. Enjoy the vids!

A little of both I think.

Kingdom wide Ashir is known for being a pretty good stick. Definately some one to watch at crown. But I don't think anyone, including Ashir, was expecting to see him in the finals against Martino.

I am not 100% sure, but I think this was the first time that Calontir had 2 Fyrdmen in the semis of Crown. :D
