Greetings,

Here's me at Pennsic.

I try to portray a Danish Viking living in Jorvik around 865.

Still a work in progress. Will edge the lamellar after i stop losing weight. :)

Debating on new helm. There are just things that bug me with this one.

My kit is Roman but it is sooo not even close to being done I couldn't possibly post it. Half of it is still all loaner gear.

Talk to Niall... He has a nice kit!

Early settlement period Icelander. ....except for the shoes. It was a bit chilly on Halloween and my turnshoes weren't quite finished.

Chris...I must say sir...I have decided that I don't like you....While you have been polite to me in the past and answerd e-mails from me about past armour...I have decided that it really is unfair you are so talented, and I don't like you anymore...Now I will go and cry me a river.....

That is one totally sick kit Chris...But yeah...I do dislike like you...too much talent...And none coming my way....just so unfair... :P

Seems we've stood together in the shield wall then, I was at Chester with Regia and did my spear test there with Mike and Paddy.

I was with Grantanbrycg as a squishy so my shield was red and black. I had a green wool tunic with red and yellow embriodery on it if that helps Lol.

I have now ditched the lamellar (which is askew from a day of fighting). I need to buy another maille shirt-- I sold my last one because I was broke.

Castus was nice enough to post pictures of my kit for me since I am technologically inept (unless compared to my parents).

My kit is a mid 1stc BCE Gaul. The helm I made with Eric Helmschmidt of Zweihammer armoury out of stainless steel. These pics were taken at La Prova Dura in May.

If you read my earlier comment, I made it with Eric Helmschmidt of Zweihammer Armoury. I'm glad you like it.

completely awesome.

Unfortunatly I wouldnt even consider myself a 'novice' armorer AND I'm about to move back into the Barracks on Post so I wont be able construct anthing of that nature.

Feel like building a new one?

You can't believe how touched I am that you guys like my helm.

However, I have to give most of the credit to Erich Helmschmidt. I had the idea and the research, but I'm not even close to a novice armourer. Without him it would still just be the dream helm I wanted since I joined the SCA. I did the manual labor, but Erich designed and figured out how to make the helm fit my head.
