Any interest in hand-woven/luceted sword lanyards?

Just checking interest. Could be made in any color requested, made of pearl cotton. Also, could be used as arming point ties, and look a heck of a lot better than parachute cord.

Yes I'm interested but it will be depending on price and design. I am doing a Rene de Anjou interpretation and the lanyards are clearly depicted in the illustrations. I would need 2. One to secure a sword to my gauntlet and another to hang a kolben from my curase.

Do you have any pictures you can show?

Thanks, Sean

If you have a picture of what you are looking for, I can see if its possible to make it. Let me know.

Well I don't have good pictures unless I go home and scan the book tonight but here are some line drawings:

Quite simply it's a braided cord (probably blue, blue and white) with a spliced eye at one end (no knot visible) that is flexible enough to be turned inside out into a hang-man style knott but not so loose that it wants to slide open and let the sword out (hence why para-cord is a poor choice).

The other end (not shown in the sketches) appears tied in at least one illumination and ideally should TAPER down in diameter. I have no idea if that is even possible with hand woven cord.

I think they need to be about 24" long. I'll have to check some measurements when I get home tonight.

Enrico

Thanks! Much appreciated. Any chance you also have one showing the Duke of Burgandy mounted so we can see how the lanyards attach to the chest and wrist?
