More here http://tinyurl.com/5d7yrm. From http://www.livinghistory.co.uk/forums/index.php.

Follow the link, as the stuff bought looks quite different to some of the products on the website.

I mean $700, for this?

just do a search on this subject... there was just recently a discussion on a helm of theirs... I believe the word in the title of the post was "YIKES" so search for that... You will get the basic opinion of them from that thread.

Oh and there's no way in God's great green Earth I would pay 100 bucks for that helm much less 700... As P.T. Barnum is credited for saying... "There's a sucker born every minute."

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

I don't have a card in my file for Performance Armor.

This means nothing about them. It has more to do with my card file, which I have been neglecting of late. It simply means that I have no information.

Because of that lack of information, I cannot recommend them.

There are a number of excellent armorers who will be more than glad to make you an excellent helm for seven hundred bucks.

Am I the only person who thinks that the lady who is modeling that helm looks a lot like Mike's secretary (who modeled Robyn's custom fab stuff) from Stonekeep armory?

Okay, I know what 700$ will get you in a helmet from Andreas.. I'm stunned. Absolutely stunned.

1) that anyone would price that at 700
2) that anyone would PAY that for it.
3) That the "grapevine" of getting people into armour is so horribly bad that anyone would even be able to FIND That and spend that on it.

*sigh*

Which is why I posted this. I'd never go near that stuff in case I caught something!
