I just finished these, and thought I would share. These are made from wool-on sheepskin, and have veg tan heel stiffeners. I've included a couple of shots to show the insides of the pieces. I have made two pairs of ankle height slippers, but these are my first tall boots. I think they came out ok, and are very warm. If I find a good deal on more sheepskins, I may make more.
Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Catherine's Quest is no longer in business. I may open back up at some point in the future. Thank you all for all of your support over these last few years. It has meant the world to me.

Thanks so much.
Yes, they are comfy - and very warm. Ugg boots would have been cheaper though - these took about 2.5+ sheepskins.
Not cheap, but far nicer leather/wool than what Uggs are made from (my daughter has some), although the Uggs look better.
Thanks again,
Cat
