Are there any good museums for armour in Florence and/or Rome?
I'm taking my students on a school trip in a month, and our schedule allows for some flexibility. I'd love to drag some poor teenagers with me to drool over Negroli helmets and such...
Armour in Italy?

Yes, indeed! The 'Bargello' and the Museo Stibbert in Florence; the Stibbert is a wonderfully atmospheric place. Love it. Very near Rome, the Odescalchi Castle, and I think there's a collection in Rome itself, but I'll have to leave that to someone who's been there;I've only been to Northern Italy. Castel Sant 'Angelo' has some. There is certainly armour from the 'Classical World' in Rome.
