FS:Norman sword and shield

Post by Glen K »

I have a Paul Binns "reenactment blunt" sword from Viking-Shield.com, in great shape, w/ custom fitted wooden scabbard painted red (milkpaint), w/ a really nice 1 3/4" (or so) leather belt (brown w/red trim) w/ silver (yes, silver) buckle and chape in a Norman style. I am asking $350 plus shipping.

Also, an excellent repro (duh) "Norman" shield, with steel umbo and authentic plank construction w/ curve! Linen front w/ gesso primer and milkpaint yellow and green swirl. Leather edging stitched on with linen thread. Square enarmes w/ central pad ala the Bayuex Tapestry; the only thing it lacks is the guige strap to be cut to appropriate size and have buckle added. Asking $150 plus shipping.

Contact me via email or PM, first "I'll take it" gets it. Buy them both and I pay shipping, which considering the shield is nothing to sneeze at.

I didn't see Inglofs post, let me know if the deal falls through.

Damn, I really need an accurate shield to complete my kit.

Halv:

No, not done with Norman, just a) haven't got to use it in a while, and b) need some cash. If I was "done" with Norman, you'd see a much bigger list of things for sale. ;)
