Wanted: 15th Century Geman Helm Options- 25" Head-SCA C

Post by Magnus Ulfgarsson »

Ok, so that doesn't exactly spell it out.

A friend of mine has a terrible helm, that he's had since the dawn of time. I'd like to point him in the right direction to obtain a new helm that fits his persona.

What are the options for that time period? Salet? Klap...v.isor?

Is anyone out there looking to trade for some leatherwork? (Then I might get it for him myself).

Any links to helms that would fit that period would be helpful. Turn around times can't be that long, so either in stock or lots of time.

He's kind of spoiled for choice as you probably have the 15th century probably saw a greater variety of helmet style than any other within the SCA time frame. If he could narrow it down to which third or so of the century it would help. That said; bascinets, great bascinets, kettle-hats sallets, barbutes, and armets are all possibilities
