Hot Redhead in Plate Armor

Post by Jetrefilm »

As promised, this is another set of photography tests for the armor showcased in "Hot Brunette in Plate Armor" thread. In this case, we were testing the armor in sunglight for refractions, specularity, reflections, etc.

Again, Patrick Thaden & Ugo Serrano's work held up beautifully.

We were moving forward on our second film "Vangelis" which was to involve a great deal of fantasy armor, but we quickly realized our budget was not big enough to realize this project.

The model is the amazing Grace Holley (she's on Facebook) and the photographer is by my good friend Bryan Chatlien (www.myspace.com/bryanphoto). Both are great people with whom to work. Grace is definitely going to make her mark as an actress -- she is very talented.

The red skirt was a placeholder because the pleated leather skirt I had made for the shoot didn't arrive in time.

We shot these in the garden outside my office. I tried to show some close-ups of the neck (which I love) and the front, side and back of this particular suit.

This is the same suit of armor from Shroud, just with Grace modeling it in place of Nicole.

Enjoy.

Some more armored eye-candy for my fellow armor-loving friends.

The same restrictions apply: we didn't have money for a matching chain mail underlay. Oh, well.

Grace loved wearing this stuff. She confessed it made her feel "dangerous."

Here is the last set of Grace Holley in the Shroud armor.

If any of you guys want backgrounds for your computers, let me know and I will paste them up here.

The plate belt was made by Patrick Thaden for my 20-minute Knightsilver short film. The forearms are also his.

Righto, for the good of humanity I think we need 1024x768 and larger wallpapers of her. Wait! I mean the armour! Yeah, that's what I mean. Well, with her in it of course.

ROTFL!

Seriously, she deserves her very own set of armour. When and where can we order the DVD of the movie, so we can sponsor you, Patric and Ugo? The world needs more art like this!

Shroud -- Where to find it

Post by Jetrefilm »

The easiest and most automated to ensure you are put on our mailing list is to register for our SALES UPDATE.

So, the easiest thing to do is go to this link:

http://www.whatisshroud.com

This is our online viral portal that accepts emails for people interested in Shroud. Right now the film is being marketed to distributors, and when it is sold, we will mail out a custom notice to everyone who signed up at www.whatisshroud.com. We're trying to set up a discount for those people who registered with us before we sold it as a "thank you" for their pre-emptive interest.

Or, you follow the News & Announcements at http://www.jetrefilm.com because I am sure we'll be shouting from the rooftops when we sell it.

You can also check in from time to time on my blog http://jetrefilm.wordpress.com for latest developments.

Um, if any of you are on MySpace you can go to http://www.myspace.com/teutonic_knights.com or http://www.myspace.com/fury_of_angels or any of the other four listed dedicated pages for our film.

In this viral age, we're trying to keep all our bases covered.

Those are the main places.

Seriously, though, one my earliest and most cherished memories was watching John Boorman's 1981 Excalibur.

I fell in love with the armor in that movie the second I saw it. It remains one of my all-time favorites.

I am a HARDCORE chicks-kicking-ass in armor fan.

No kidding.

So, I'm doing what I can to put some sexy girls in steel in my cinema...lol.

Glad you are enjoying the pics.

More to come.

A Good Photographer is Worth It

Post by Jetrefilm »

These pictures were taken by Bryan Chatlien with just a camera and a single "bounce." No advanced light set-up -- we just walked outside and started snapping photos.

So, I would recommend to any armorer seriously dedicated to selling his/her work on the Internet: find a great photographer.

Unless you just must, don't take the photos yourself. Find someone, new or established, who wants to add your unique product to his/her portfolio.

I really believe these photos, simple as they are, show the advantage of having a professional behind the camera.

And if any of you guys need a wicked website to showcase your work, let me know. My design site is located at http://www.studio930.com and I willing to work with anyone from this forum.

The world needs more armor.

It just does.

My girlfriend says she'll buy some armour when she gets her money tree. I may have to go searching for such a tree to speed up the process.

You have possibly found one of the few collections of people where the men will spend as much time looking at what the model is wearing as what she looks like.

You need to do well with Shroud so you make enough money to:

A) Finish the first suit.
B) Build a second suit.
C) Script and record a second movie that invoolves both actresses in armor.
D) Invite me to come view the filming for such a wonderful idea.

Plus, apparently the movie will actually have some quality swordplay! That's excellent: the real moves are much more visually convincing than the "standard 4" or even worse, the ubiquitous "parry five, stand there contemplating Pi while getting belly-slashed."

I mean, what would the other two wear?
