I have some that I am selling that is much the same. It is tombstone shaped and in mild steel. The pattern of the cuirasse can either be reworked to look the way you would like it or I have loose scales for sale as well.
They are smaller than the ones in your pic but work very well.

Intersting. Which would consider closest to the picture, maybe 8, 19, 17, 20, 22?

If you go with 20 or 21 it says the size is variable.
That would be a safe bet if you have a particular layout in mind.

Curious, are the plates automatically including the hole punches shown in the diagrams? I might be interested at some point in ordering from that site, but I'd only really need two hole atop the scale. Also, I'm looking for a hex-like bottom, I guess similar to 10. Anyone know if Polarbear does minor variations if not?

If you don't see the plate or hole pattern you want, Jamie will design whatever you like. His prices are very good and he is on the archive as well.

Just a heads up: We are planning hand made lamellar in stainless coming this spring. We plan on stocking about four full suits worth of about 4-6 styles of lam. plates in stainless ranging the late ancient through medieval period.

I recently made a purchase from Polarbear. Response was fast, product was received quickly and was exactly as advertised.

I will definitely buy from him in the future.

Jamie at Polarbear forge is a dream to work with, and he's very willing to tweak things to get the shape, size, and hole pattern you want. On a scale of 1 to 5 I'd have to rate him a 6 because he surpasses expectations. He not only embossed the lames, he even curved some of them for me. How cool is that?

Now I've just got to get a whole week without some kind of surprise flustercluck so I can get my gambeson done and start on the lamellar.

Thanks the for the comments!

I was in the midst of updateing the site, and have recently had a hard drive crash, so I still need to put sizes on a few plates once I pull that file (or remember to write it down at work).

Looking at the picture, the size seems close to style #19, but with # 8b's hole pattern.

I can adjust the sizing and spacing of the holes quite easily. If you wanted style #20, but 1/2 inch shorter with a hex shaped bottom like # 10, no problem. What I do, is I'll draw it up and send a confirmation image to make sure that we both are thinking the same. The holes are already there as well, and can be adjusted as easily as the shape in terms of location and size.

The plates are laser cut, and don't need any additional deburring. Custom plates or with plates that I don't have stock, I usually send them within a week of payment receipt. It might be alittle longer (sometimes two depending on timing) since I can only make it to the post office on Fridays and/or Saturdays.
