Armour-Bearer order placed

Post by Marius Brittanicus »

I have ordered a custom made SCA combed morion helmet with these options.
14 gauge cold rolled steel.
plume holder
roped edges
detachable grill
rivets around bowl
Painted inside bowl of helmet
chinstrap installed

Also a spanish collar style gorget in 18 gauge steel with rolled and roped edges and decorative rivets. I have agreed to money gram 1/2 of the price and Alexander will keep me updated with pictures and progress reports. Completion will be mid may and expected delivery of first week of June. I look forward to this new element of my new kit. My wife wanted a later time period and I am adopting a Border Reiver persona.
Thanks..watch for updates.

Yes Hal,

Hal is a great armorer in his own right..I own a lovely helm he made me. The wife fell in love with tudor and elizabethan time periods. I can't wait to get the helm and put a review up. I am going to attempt to get the rest of my kit together. I am ordering a pair of bucket boots from the U.K. and will post a review on them.
Thanks,

Wow a raised helm....

Say Armour-Bearer, did you ever get any Vice-Grip clamps you were looking for?
I bought up 4 of them locally, but never heard back from you so I put them to work in my shop.
