Conquistador stuff in the greater DC/metro area?

Post by maxntropy »

One of the ladies in our local group has asked if we knew anyone with any Conquistador-like armour for a local theater group putting on a period piece.

They are naturally looking more for a "feel" than for any particularly great authenticity -- a morion-like helmet, 16th Century Cuirass, etc...

Any and all help or guidance would be truly appreciated.

In service,

Max-
Years ago, some miscreants, I don't know who, painted up a bunch of plastic Morion helms with model paints they bought from IPArty for about $10 each. From ten feet away, they looked okay.
This would've been about the first reign of Andreas and Isabella in the East. Again, no idea of who they were.....
This is a full-contact martial sport where twenty-year-old athletes can routinely get thrashed by fifty-year-olds with a gut and no knees

Some time ago, I sold on AA a morion and a gorget. I have a lot of experience in the manufacture of such things.
I can make any kind of armor for her....

Examples of my work you can see on the site http://wildarmoury.com
